The following tool estimates the risk of TB disease for an individual with a positive tuberculin skin test (≥5 mm) and/or commercial Interferon Gamma release assay (IGRA) whole-blood test, based on age and other clinical risk factors. It also provides estimates of the benefits of commonly used TB preventive treatment (TPT) regimens, and each regimen’s risk of side effects.
